Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Planning Intelligence Chat. By asking a question you accept them. They sit alongside our privacy policy.
What this service is
PlanningIntel provides a research tool that summarises public planning records to help you understand the planning context of a UK address. It is not legal advice, not planning advice, and does not predict the outcome of any specific planning application. Always consult the relevant Local Planning Authority and a qualified planning consultant before making decisions on a real project.
No warranty
Answers are generated by combining public records with a language model. The model can make mistakes, citations can be wrong, and source data may be out of date or incomplete. We provide the service “as is” with no warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.
How you use it
- Don't submit personal data about other people, confidential information, or anything you wouldn't want a third-party model provider to see.
- Don't abuse the service: no automated scraping at scale, no attempts to jailbreak the model, no submitting illegal content.
- We may rate-limit, block, or remove access at any time.
Your queries, our dataset
We log your messages to operate and improve the service and to build a research dataset for future phases of this project. See the privacy policy for details on what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it. By using the service you grant PlanningIntel a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your queries for these purposes. Published research will use aggregate, de-identified data only.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlanningIntel is not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on the service. This doesn't limit liability for things we're not legally allowed to exclude.
